If you are looking for improvement and socializing at the same time, try a group lesson with 3 or 4 people.  Group lessons are better if the number is 6 or less, but I have worked with as many as 10-15 at one time.  Unfortunately with that many you may not get very much individual attention, but it is fun and I definitely cover at least one swing thought and one pre-swing thought each lesson.
